FOR ALL OF US and EVEN MORE TO THE LAND “OWNERS”.
The heavy rain woke me up. Do I go back to sleep? I am unable. Thinking about trees falling takes away sleep.
The word that haunts bad dreams is destruction. After all, our children are being robbed of their right to a life without the nightmare of not knowing how far we will reach as humanity. It is the first generation that lives very closely with the concrete possibility of our becoming extinct, that grows up in a grotesque world, despite being generously beautiful in its natural aspects.
Teenagers are sick with anxiety and depression, as they have no horizons. They do not find meaning in this bizarre world that has been created by us since the first industrial revolution. The rate of destruction of the Earth has only increased since then, in the form of producing more, consuming more, having more, more, more… And increasing our burden of carelessness on the Earth. Suicide rates have never been so high! Who is responsible for this? WE ARE ALL! What world are we co-creating?? What world are we enabling, motivating, nurturing? What are we feeding within ourselves??
Why do those who think they own land believe they have the right to cut down forests and eliminate animals in droves, without realizing the importance of taking care of them? Of course, the responsibility is not theirs alone, but it is a lot! As is the case, on a large scale, with real estate agencies and real estate brokers and public administration, among others, but today I want to speak more directly to those who consider themselves land owners.
Often it seems that they only see money. Money and more money, it really seems to be all they see. They are holders – to a greater degree, since we are all – of the responsibility to care for life, while they have the power – conferred by money – to preserve life, to, for example, create parks where life is revered, where all beings truly win. Yes, because the real gain is not a handful of money in the pocket of a person whose greed is limitless! It is time to see that there is only gain when there is respect for life, when trees (a source of beauty, joy, air, water, shade, fruits, shelter, food for countless beings beyond our navel !) are revered, when animals are also remembered as part of our existence, when waters are honored as something without which even our survival is possible!!!
How long will “land owners” feel they have the right to tear down everything to build more streets, more houses, without realizing that they do not own the future and that their greed steals the sanity of the new generations??
We are all passing through. Money is dust in the wind. It brings power and possibilities, it’s a fact. It still is, in this crumbling system. And what legacy will we leave for the next generations?
Just being within the law is not enough. Being legal does not necessarily mean being ethical or moral, unfortunately, because the Laws were also made by human beings whose consciousness as planetary individuals is still shallow. The laws are outdated.
I want to ask here that those who consider themselves “owners” of land realize that they are mere guardians. We are all passengers. We are all guardians of the Earth – or we should be.
The tone of destruction that prevails does not match the role of guardian. How presumptuous, to think that we actually own something! “From dust we came and to dust we will return, let us remember!” Dust!
Why does everyone only think about destroying life and creating subdivisions for more destruction to occur? Punch and tear the ground, murder all life present… What are you creating in this place? They want to transform this region – Porto Seguro, Arraial dAjuda, Trancoso, Caraíva – into another ugly coastal city, throwing away the most precious things that are here!
We still have the possibility of being something different!
So I speak directly to those who are guardians of forested lands, where towering trees and thousands of animals live (we are in the most biodiverse forest on the planet! Every square meter is worth a lot in life, much more than in central bank notes! ): that people are aware of their responsibility; that look at it head on and can make different choices and paths.
There are other possibilities.
And if you already have a lot of money (many land “owners” do, and want more and more and more), your responsibility is even greater.
The Earth is one.
The effects of the greed of a few are already felt by many and if we do not change the pattern of destruction, they will soon be felt by everyone. ALL.
HOW MUCH IS THE WEIGHT OF BEING AN AGENT OF DESTRUCTION?
WHAT IS THE CONSCIOUSNESS WORTH OF KNOWING THAT YOU DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN FOR THE GOOD OF ALL, RECOGNIZING YOURSELF AS PART OF A WEB WHERE EVERYTHING IS INTERCONNECTED?
WHEN WILL WE ASSIMILATE THAT THERE IS REAL HAPPINESS ONLY WHEN WE CULTIVATE THE GOOD OF ALL?
I pray for lucidity, for good education, for conscience.
And I continue to ask forgiveness for human ignorance, and for the actions of those who are most responsible for taking us down the rabbit hole. Nature shows: what you plant is what you reap.
MAY LOVE OVERCOME GREED.
